Dispatcher

The Norwalk Transit District is accepting applications from interested persons for the position of Operations Dispatcher . The Operations Dispatcher supports fixed-route operators and operations to insure effective, safe and efficient transit service is provided throughout the Norwalk Transit District service area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all functions related to dispatching of personnel and equipment, supervising operators, responding to customer service complaints and compliments, and performing clerical support duties. The Dispatcher is required to work a schedule that is comprised of both early and late reports, and will consist of both weekdays and weekends. This is a full-time, non-union position. The work week is 40.0 hours. The benefit package is comprehensive.
