PRODUCTION WORKERS - 2ND SHIFT FuelCell Energy, a global leader in the manufacture of distributed power generation solutions, is looking for detail-oriented Production Workers to work in its newly expanded, air conditioned manufacturing facility in Torrington, CT. Responsibilities: Utilizes various measuring tools, i.e., scales, calipers, micrometers, etc. to perform routine quality inspections. Operates manual, semi-automated and automated equipment used to manufacture fuel cell components in accordance with company quality and safety standards. May use computers, data entry devices and PLC controlled equipment as instructed and trained. May use air pallets, forklift, assisted lifting devices, and overhead crane. Proven track record of good attendance and reporting to work on time. Ability to follow verbal and written directions (in English). Lifting, pushing, puling and placement of manufacturing parts on a repeated basis which may have a weight of at least 25 lbs. Ability to remain on feet for a minimum period of eight (8) hours, with designated breaks. Qualifications: Education: Minimum HS diploma or GED required. Trade School or Military experience a plus. Experience: 2+ years of previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a warehouse, construction or other fast-paced, on your feet environment will also be considered.
