Senior Information Security Specialist

Summary of Position: Financial Partners is looking for a Senior Information Security Specialist to work in our corporate office in Agawam.  This position will be responsible for assisting in the development, operation and maintenance of FPI’s Information Security Systems.  FPI provides technology systems and support to 6 Farm Credit Associations across the country.  The Security team is responsible for managing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information assets for all of our member Associations.  As Information Security is a top priority for Financial Partners, we are looking to grow our security staff to help support our current and projected needs.

The ideal candidate will be technically capable and have experience participating in diverse teams. This individual must be familiar with recent threats, able to speak to adversarial techniques, capable of quickly understanding complex environments, and will contribute to the FPI Information Security Strategy and Roadmap.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert-level technical leadership across a broad range of security work efforts and mentors junior level IT Security staff
  • Evaluates, designs, develops, coordinates, and monitors all aspects of information security systems, policies, procedures and events.
  • Ensures that IT security architecture/designs, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with industry standard best practices.
  • Identifies advanced security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations, and then designs and implements procedures to prevent and mitigate future incidents.
  • As a subject matter expert, recommends new policies and procedures to management and has wide latitude to decide on the best course of action for new procedures.
  • May provide security-related guidance and training to other IT and business associates.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • Must have attained and maintain an active status with one or more of the following certifications:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Relevant work experience in securing systems, networking and infrastructure for 4+ years including:
    • Expert-level understanding across multiple computer security concepts including Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Application Security, Incident Management, or Risk & Compliance.
    • Demonstrated technical expertise with a wide range of security tools and concepts (Firewall, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM, Vulnerability Assessments, Advanced Threats, etc.)
    • Familiar with IT Regulations, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley and Mass Privacy laws.
  • Able to communicate/present technical security details to a wide range of audiences.
  • Must act with integrity, take pride in your work, seek to excel, be curious and adaptable in a fast paced environment.
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with previous management experience.
