University of Connecticut Department of Dining Services Commissary Warehouse University of Connecticut Department of Dining Services Commissary Warehouse CDL Driver Opportunity The Department of Dining Services at the University of Connecticut has an immediate opening for a full time, non-state CDL Driver for loading and delivering food items, stock and products to the dining operations on the Storrs campus. Minimum Qualifications: 1.) Good oral and written communication skills required. 2.) MUST already possess a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License. 3.) An impeccable driving record required.
4.) Required to submit to annual motor vehicle background checks. 5.) Substantial experience driving large box trucks required. 6.) Must have a clean criminal record and be bondable. 7.) Candidate is required to stand and sit for extended periods of time. 8.) Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. 9.) Good customer service skills. The starting union rate is $18.02 per hour. The hours of work are 8:30am to 5:00pm.
