MICHELS www.michels.us NOW HIRING SPRING IN PLACE PIPE FIELD ASSISTANT Michels Corporation has opportunities for a Spray in Place Pipe Field Assistant for the City of Waterbury, Connecticut. This position consists of physical labor duties associated with pipe rehabilitation in existing water lines. The Essential duties and responsibilites of the position include: Adhere to all safety practices and procedures Shovel designated areas to establish access pits. Assist in creating a temporary bypass for the pipe. Insert scraper to clean pipe debris. Prep lining machine for spray process. Backfill access pits upon completion of spray. Inspect and test new pipe. Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Tanker and Hazardous Materials endorsements preferred, but not required. Candidates must have water main line, spray in placed liner, cement mortar, potable water bypass and trenching experience with certifications in confined space, competent person, CPR and OSHA 10. Candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
