MAINTENANCE MECHANIC ITW Powertrain Metals is a division of Illinois Tool Works. Powertrain Fastening, locating in Naugatuck, designs and manufactures metal stampings, fasteners, fastener assemblies and stabilizer link assemblies. Maintenance Technician: Duties include: perform preventive maintenance, upkeep and repair of Eyelet and Progressive Presses, including Waterbury Farrel, Baird and Minster; diagnose and remedy operating troubles; dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to and remove, repair or replace defective parts; and prioritize repair projects as required. Requires the successful completion of an accredited Maint. Machinist apprenticeship. Ability to set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders and other metal working tools.
