HVAC Service Tech

FLSA: Non Exempt Hours: 40 hours, with overtime Work Week: Monday through Saturday, schedule will adjust based on work Reports To: Service Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Install equipment according to manufacturer specification, State and local code Explain the system operation to the customer Keep the work area in a clean, safe and in an organized manner Complete all paperwork at the end of each job Report any accident or damage that may have occurred on the job site Keep install vehicles clean and organized Teach the helper/apprentice the proper work and safety procedures Return all unused parts to the supervisor to be returned for credit Register all equipment that has been installed for the customer Dispose of all garbage and clean vehicles after each installation Must observe safe standards as applicable to OSHA, state and federal regulations Skilled in the use of computers, preferably in Window based operating systems Must exercise customer service skills with customers, consisting of explaining work performed, speak knowledgeably of how to resolve issues and exercise patience with the public Other duties as requested JOB EXPECTATIONS: The position of HVAC Service Tech will demand the employee to drive in all types of weather. Due to BantamWesson's retail services, during peak seasons technicians may be restricted to the use of earned leave time. Additionally, this position necessitate a rotating, on call schedule that will cover any day of the week. It is required that employees adhere to all safe practices mandated by the state, federal government, OSHA standards and BantamWesson policies WORKING CONDITIONS Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job. Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
