Electro-Mechancial Assembler /  Utility Technician

National manufacturer of mail handling equipment located in Fairfield County is looking for a skilled technician for mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, diagnostics and repair. The candidate must be a self-starter, well organized and possess the self-discipline to work with minimal supervision.

Duties/Requirements include:

• Excellent wiring and soldering skills
• Extensive mechanical assembly skills
• Moderate computer skills
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Must be willing to travel locally for occasional service calls at customer sites and adhere to the ‘4-6 hour contracted response time’
• Develop a core understanding of our assembly and service process within 90 days of hire
• Willingness to assist other departments including, but not limited to:
  • Crating equipment
  • Shipping
  • Material picks
  • General housekeeping

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• At least 5 years of electro-mechanical experience necessary
• Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 5:00pm (hours may vary when there are service calls)
