Order Processing/Database Management

Trade Labels designs and manufactures FDA-compliant ingredient and nutrition labels for grocery store bulk food departments. We offer custom designs and work with large and small retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods Markets, HEB, Safeway, Hannaford, and Fred Meyer. Our database contains ingredient, nutritional and allergen information for over 21,000 products. Data collection is ongoing and the company has experienced continuous growth since its founding in 1995.

 

We are seeking a very detail-oriented person to process incoming orders and work with the database. Working knowledge of Excel, Databases (preferably Access) and Outlook is required. Some knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus. You would receive orders via email, log the order into Quickbooks, import the order to Access from Excel, then use queries to export the print file and create the labels. We have a very specific procedure to keep track of information received and sent, so you must by nature, love to work with details.

 

We are a small company with a unique niche. Our office has an open floor plan, is very casual and in the woods. Pandora is usually streaming and we have a friendly office dog. We work as a team, and are very supportive of each other, so in addition to a perfectionist's attitude, we're looking for the right chemistry.  Being a small company, we often jump in and help each other, so you must be flexible and enjoy learning new things.

 

This will be a part time position until late May or mid June, then move to full time. Once you have a firm grip on the job, telecommuting part time is possible.
