Production Planner / Customer Service Coordinator
American Woolen is looking to fill a positon for production planner / customer service coordinator.
Reporting to Planning Manager, the production planner / customer service coordinator must be qualified to independently execute activities relative to all aspects of effective customer service and production planning.
Main duties and responsibilities:

Take customer orders over phone or email and respond to customer’s questions or concerns.

Enter orders into system and follow up with production delivery dates

Work with department heads and assistants to coordinate and monitor production schedules

Order and enter all raw material contracts and arrivals into system. Verify prices and quantities. Ensure all raw material requirements are ready and available for production purposes in timely manner

Maintain the inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree required

Working knowledge of computer programs (excel, word, access)

1-3 years’ experience in customer service and/or production planning in a mid-sized manufacturing environment preferred.

Math skills for scheduling and determining necessary quantities of raw materials

Memorization skills for dealing effectively with numeric yarn codes, style numbers and production processes.

Ability to analyze, discriminate, organize and prioritize
-
Ability to work efficiently in stressful situations

Ability to use discretion and independent judgment when making decisions on behalf of the company.

Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the company and customer.

Knowledge of textiles desirable.
