ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER The Town of Southbury will be accepting applications for the following position: Animal Control Officer - Part Time (25 hours per week) Responsible for receiving and responding to complaints regarding domestic and wildlife animal from the general public; to enforce all relevant State and Town laws, ordinances and policies; to conduct public awareness events and to maintain pound; supervises the Assistant Animal Control Officers. Graduation from high school plus two years of specialized training in the safe handling of animals. Must possess valid CT motor vehicle operator's license. Must obtain rabies vaccination and keep current. Must have current CT Animal Control Officer Certification or be willing to complete within one year. Salary starts at $19 per hour DOE.
