Construction Project Engineer/Coordinator

Loureiro Contractors, Inc. (LCI), a subsidiary of Loureiro Engineering Associates, an employee owned, full-service multi-disciplinary engineering and construction firm located in Plainville, Connecticut has an excellent opportunity for a Construction Project Engineer/Coordinator.

This individual will work on a number of diverse construction projects and will be able to see how the Company’s core values- integrity, customer focus, quality, teamwork, and safety are instilled in every project and in every employee.

Key responsibilities include: work cooperatively with and assist Estimators, Project Managers and Field Superintendents throughout all phases of projects, including performing quantity take-offs, soliciting, reviewing  and coordinating subcontractor and material supplier quotes;  attending job meetings; assisting  with a variety of reports, work plans, schedules, budgets; and creating, setting up and maintaining project filing systems, all while learning the construction field from the ground up. 

 

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other construction-related field with at least 1 year experience; possess strong verbal and written communication skills; flexible, well organized, detail oriented and multi-tasking skills; and exhibited team and leadership skills and abilities.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Sage Timberline and HCSS software are a huge plus.
