POSITION: TECHNICAL INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Scales Industrial Technologies Inc., the recognized leader in compressed air systems equipment and service for over 50 years is currently seeking an experienced technical inside salesperson to join our team of service professionals.

 

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player with at least 3 years of sales experience, preferably inside sales, and must possess a very strong mechanical aptitude. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to the outside sales force working as a team to grow customer confidence and build long term business relationships.
• Create technical quotations, proposals and submittals. 
• Maintain sales database and exploit CRM tools.
• Field inbound sales calls.
• Follow up on quotations and sales leads; solicit new customers via telephone and email contact.
• Generate sales reports as directed.
• Support targeted marketing initiatives to generate new leads through participation in social networking groups, websites, and email campaigns.
• Organize and manage sales data including marketing campaigns.
• Provide excellent customer service and problem solving using professional communication skills.
• Work with internal departments to ensure customer’s expectations are met, and maintain seamless inter-department communications.
• Research and prospect leads as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 year college degree.
• 3+ years of inside sales required (technical/engineered products preferred).
• Strong inside sales acumen including a very high level of mechanical aptitude.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Computer literate - strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); internet savvy.
• Data entry experience/skill related to CRM and/or any standard Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system  
• Possess excellent customer service skills and attitude
• Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills
• Extremely proficient analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability and desire to continually learn on the job
