TOWN CLERK
We are searching for a talented professional to join our leadership team as our next Town Clerk! This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Town Clerk's Office. Sample duties include: supervising and leading staff; serving as the Clerk of Council; serving as the Town-wide Records Administrator; serving as the Town-wide Freedom of Information Officer; performing statutory Town Clerk responsibilities such as processing various licenses, vital records, and land records; assisting with registering voters and administering elections and referendums; budgeting and procurement; and grants management. Salary range $71,015-$92,245/yr with a full benefits package. The selected candidate will regularly work evenings and occasionally Saturdays to accommodate Clerk of Council responsibilities. Candidates should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, paralegal studies or a related field and excellent customer service skills. Supervisory, records management, municipal experience, and Town Clerk certification, or the ability to obtain the certification, are desirable. The preferred candidate will be subject to a background check.The selected candidate will be expected to begin work in early May 2017.
