EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO TOWN MANAGER

We are searching for a talented professional to join our team as our next Executive Assistant to the Town Manager! This position is responsible for providing support work to the Town Manager's Office and Town Council. Sample duties include: providing administrative and clerical support to the Town Manager's Office and assigned boards and commissions; preparing, posting and distributing Council and Committee agendas, minutes, and packets; maintaining the Town Manager's schedule; responding to and following up on citizen inquiries; coordinating special projects and events; assisting with the maintenance of the Town's government access channel; maintaining filing systems and records; processing bills and assisting with monitoring departmental budgets; and serving as the Town's Public Information Officer during emergency events. Salary range $50,433-$65,516/yr with a full benefits package. Hiring rate will be dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will occasionally work evenings and weekends to accommodate work related to special and emergency events. Candidates should possess a minimum of an associate's degree in public administration, business administration or a related field, bachelor's degree preferred. Progressively responsible municipal or office management experience highly desirable. The preferred candidate will be subject to a background check.
