COUNSELOR ~ YOUTH
A full time Youth Counselor responsible for the direct supervision of the adolescent male clients of Connecticut Junior Republic s Winchester Therapeutic Group Home. Must be sensitive to unique issues of population, i.e. mental health, suicidal behavior, contraband, etc. Incumbent responsible for; carrying out behavior management program; assuring physical safety of youth; providing crisis intervention; maintaining headcount to assure youth presence and safety; carrying out daily activities, explaining program to youth and families, and completion of written reports as assigned. Requires Bachelor s degree in social sciences and 2 years experience with demonstrated ability to work with troubled youth and Ad Med Cert..
