The Eastern Highlands Health District is looking for a Sanitarian/Environmental Health Inspector to enforce state and local public health codes. Sample duties include restaurant inspection and complaint investigations.
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, public health, or a related field is required, with 2 years relevant experience preferred.Candidates are required to hold a certification in food service inspection. Hiring salary range is $42,400 - $50,000 and will be dependent upon the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. The preferred candidate shall work towards, and obtain the Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS/RS) designation within a mutually agreed upon time frame.This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. The preferred candidate will be subject to a background check.
