Billing Assistant
South Bay Mental Health Center, eastern Massachusetts leading behavioral health resource is expanding its services Hartford CT. We are seeking a Billing Assistant to support our growth. The Billing Assistant will process and manage billing and insurance activities for a team of clinicians.
Essential Functions Include:
- Processing billing and charges on a daily basis
- Verifying and obtaining insurance authorizations
- Ensuring Clinic compliance with third party insurance regulations
- Assist with office/billing and/or projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Prior experience in a medical billing office preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records a plus
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office primarily Excel
- Basic knowledge of insurance guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail
