Billing Assistant

South Bay Mental Health Center, eastern Massachusetts leading behavioral health resource is expanding its services Hartford CT.  We are seeking a Billing Assistant to support our growth. The Billing Assistant will process and manage billing and insurance activities for a team of clinicians.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Processing billing and charges on a daily basis
  • Verifying and obtaining insurance authorizations
  • Ensuring Clinic compliance with third party insurance regulations
  • Assist with office/billing and/or projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a medical billing office preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records a plus

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office primarily Excel
  • Basic knowledge of insurance guidelines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
