Lean Manufacturing Manager

Amphenol Spectra-Strip, a leader in the design and manufacture of wire and cable for the electronics industry has an immediate opening for a Lean Manufacturing Manager.

 

Functional Scope:  Reporting to our Director of Operations, this individual will provide leadership and coordination of plant operations to achieve safety, quality, and to meet cost expectations of the business. A team player, this candidate will plan, organize and direct the team to continuously improve the manufacturing process in order to meet or exceed our commitment to customers. Promote best practices to support company growth and improvement of overall operational performance.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business or engineering,
  • Certification, license or registration in Lean and/or Six Sigma. 
  • Strong background with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques. 
  • Experience with staffing lifecycle.
  • Proven leadership skills. 
  • Effective communication skills among all levels of personnel, internal and external

Chief Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of Lean tools and practices to eliminate non-value added activities.  Driving process improvements and sustainment through Lean methods showing quantitative results of key business metrics.
  • Effective utilization of resources to meet the goals for safety, quality delivery and cost standards.
  • Overseeing and developing direct reports providing them with the skills and tools to perform their functions.  Reviewing performance against accountability standards.
  • Developing and executing detailed action and project plans, completing on time and on budget in support of strategic objectives.
  • Transferring best practices to and standard operating procedures to sister plant in China insuring consistency of processes and products between plants.
  • Lead group and individual problem solving and implementation of poke-yoke or error proofing corrective actions utilizing data.
