Wastewater Plant Operator Class I, Goshen, CT The Woodridge Lake Sewer District is looking to fill a wastewater operator position to perform the operation, maintenance, repair at a 100,000 gallons per day tertiary treatment plant, 8 pump stations, and all related infrastructure. This will require a self-starting professional individual who will receive general supervision of the Superintendant or Chief Operator. Requirements: High School diploma or GED, with experience in operating a wastewater treatment facility preferred. Must be able to obtain a Ct DEEP Class I operator certification within 18 months. Must possess valid Ct drivers license and have a clean driving record, and live within 25 miles of Goshen. Must be able to work Holidays and weekends, and participate in a scheduled rotating on-call. Must have a working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions needed to work in the wastewater field, be able to work under emergency situations under adverse weather conditions, and be able to understand and follow instructions in both written and oral form.
