We are a small insurance defense firm in Hartford County seeking an associate attorney with five or more years of experience to assist us in supporting our busy civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized individual whose primary responsibilities will include independent case load management; communicating on status of case with clients and carriers; appearing online and in person throughout Connecticut for participation in hearings, mediations, and trial; appearing for and conducting on-line and in-person depositions; reviewing claim file investigative materials and drafting analytical reports and memoranda; negotiating with and working effectively with various opposing and co-defense counsel; researching in support of motion practice; and drafting various motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.

Additional Qualifications and Work Experience

• Membership in the Connecticut State Bar
• Ability to research, analyze, and utilize case law from Westlaw platform
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with navigating the courts’ online Judicial Dockets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Zoom and Teams Video conference proficiency
