Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Finance Director Central Business Office Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) Center seeks a full-time (1.0 FTE) Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director. This position has responsibility for the entire CIFC Finance Dept consisting of approximately 10 staff members. The CFO will supervise two or more direct reports: the Deputy Finance Director-Comptroller of the CIFC Education, Housing and Economic Development Programs, and the CIFC Deputy Finance Director of the Greater Danbury Community Health Center, and others as assigned. The CFO will be responsible for all operations related to the financial and fiscal management of CIFC and oversee all financial activities including, but not limited to, financial accounting systems, controls and standards under Generally Accepted Acctg Principles (GAAP), maintaining an understanding of all applicable non-profit and governmental related rules and regulations, including budgeting, IRS Sec. 501 (c)(3), (c)(2) & (c)(4) requirements, and cost principles, and insuring the timely and accurate completion of all internal and external financial reports. Qualifications: CPA with Master s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, extensive experience in managing teams within a small business environment, a proven track record of accomplishment, a strategic thinker and practical problem solver using a hands-on approach when required, and an effective communicator skilled at presentations at the President/CEO and Board of Directors levels.
