Territory Sales Manager

Dymax Corporation, a leader in the Acrylic Adhesive and UV Curing Industry, is seeking a highly motivated, team orientated individual to join our Sales department as a Territory Sales Manager.

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the Management of Sales activities in the Territory through direct selling and team coordination involving personnel in Applications Engineering, Customer Support, Market Segment Managers, Equipment Support, as well as external sales partners.   Originates and implements ideas for sales growth and expansion utilizing Dymax Leading Edge Technology. Attends and supports local and territory seminars/tradeshows.  Maintain Key accounts while expanding new opportunities within the territory to support global crossover. 

Candidate must be CURRENTLY located in the San Francisco Bay Area with limited travel to the Pacific Northwest.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Achieve growth objectives by implementing the Leading Edge Products   to develop projects, monitoring and reporting progress.
  2. Provide technical project support to Dymax Sales Partner and customers to define Target Growth Opportunities and meet the growth objectives of the corporation.
  3. Coordinate projects with Dymax on a Global basis. Supporting and following the guidelines of the “Fair Rewards” Program.
  4. Assign leads to sales partners, coordinate lead follow-up and feedback to sales support at Dymax.
  5. Provide technical seminars/presentations for key engineering sites initiating projects and coordinate these with Dymax Applications Engineering, directly or with sales partners.
  6. Implement and roll out programs to train and motivate area Sales Partners to enhance their understanding of how Dymax products and technology meet the design and manufacturing requirements of their customers.
  7. Develop the level of in-depth coverage of projects at key Dymax accounts by expanding our base of engineering contacts and providing support to insure we remain the sole Supplier for Leading Edge Products.
     
  8. Maintain a complete competitive intelligence program and provide data to the Dymax Sales, Marketing and Applications Engineering Departments on a regular/timely basis.
  9. Utilize a quarterly Dymax “scorecard” evaluation with Sales Partners to gauge performance and progress toward goals and report individual performance.
  10. Update data bases such as Sales Force, Global Opportunities on a regular (daily/monthly) basis.
  11. Maintain consistent professional/and ethical behavior.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

A technical degree in Engineering or Chemistry. Three to Five years of successful industrial technical experiences; Sales Partner management, Tech service and relative market experience a definite plus. Candidate must be a self-motivated, independent performer with good analytical, planning and communication/computer skills, plus the ability to interact with all levels of management and translate technical requirements into successful sales programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for directing area Sales Partner activities. 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:  Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, Sales Partners, Global Dymax alliances, Applications Engineering, Customer support, Market Segment Managers
