Director of Information Management
The Director, Information Management is responsible for managing all information technology and computer systems for Organization. This position has a major focus on managing the Raisers Edge’s database. In addition, the position is responsible for controlling and evaluating IT, electronic data operations and workflow. This is a full-time exempt position.
- Manage information technology and computer systems
- Manage all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge database
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy and support the organization’s mission
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures
- Manage annual budget including acquisitions of hardware, software and IT services while ensuring cost effectiveness
- Data entry of all daily cash logs/donations in Raiser’s Edge
- Import data from online fundraising platform into Raiser’s Edge
- Coordinate the acknowledgement process for all donations
- Create and run all queries and reports in Raiser’s Edge to support staff needs
- Reconcile donations with information in Financial Edge with the Director, Finance
- Train and support staff and volunteers in the proper and consistent use of the Raiser’s Edge Database, Games Management (GMS) and Volunteer Management (Vsys) Systems
- Main contact with the organization’s IT Service Provider
- Liaison with Special Olympics North America and Special Olympics, Inc. on IT / Data integration, standards and issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree Information Management or related field
- Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in database management (Specifically Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge) and data governance
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communications skills, oral and written
- Strong management skills
- Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to interact with personnel as well as work independently
- A+ Certification or equivalent
- Must have a valid Connecticut Driver’s License
