Mini Bus Driver -Part Time The Town of East Granby Senior Services Department has an opening for a part-time minibus driver. The position is for one to two days a week generally 3-6 hours and pays $14/hr. Description of duties Operate a passenger-carrying vehicle with a capacity of 12 or more passengers as well as a 5 passenger vehicle. When needed, able to operate a mechanical or manual wheelchair lift on vehicle. Transport senior citizens to various locations. Maintain schedule and appropriate records. Perform safety checks and general running condition of vehicle. Required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid CT driver's license, knowledge of CT traffic laws and a clean driving record. The successful applicant must also pass a background check including a drug test and medical review. Position requires the ability to operate vehicle safely and to interact with the public in a courteous, empathetic and tactful manner.
