Commercial Roofing Estimator/Technical Sales

About Us: Kelly Engineered Systems, LTD is a designer of negative pressure roofing systems for commercial and industrial facilities. We offer our patented wind vented roofing technology with many of the roofing membranes in today’s roofing industry. Our wind vented self-drying systems have been installed for over 22 years across the country on over 9,000 facilities.

Location: Waterbury, CT

Job Description: Full time Commercial Roofing Estimator with Technical Sales and Marketing experience for selling and estimating of commercial roofing systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Estimator:

• Calculate takeoffs.
• Prepare detailed estimates
• Negotiate contractual agreements
• Organize bid documents.
• Track and follow up with architects, engineers and roofing contractors to ensure all documentation is submitted on time and in a neat, organized manner.
• Conduct site visits as necessary; be able to travel.
• Negotiate and create contractor/vendor contracts & material purchase orders based on bid documents.

Technical Sales/Marketing:

• Prospecting, cold calling, networking
• Presentations to Architects, Engineers, Building Owners, and Contractors

Requirements: Bachelors or Associates Degree in civil or structural engineering, construction management, architectural design, or other related discipline.2 years minimum understanding of commercial low slope roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR and Silicone Coatings.

Qualifications: Familiarity with “The Edge” software or similar estimating program, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD helpful.
