POSITION TITLE:          Laboratory Media Preparation and Sterilization Technician
(Full Time Status, Hourly)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Media Preparation and Sterilization Technician will be required to prepare media according to standard recipes, sterilize media and reagents, clean glassware, and maintain associated records for the microbiology laboratory. The position will also provide assistance with the manufacturing of FDA regulated medical devices and diagnostic products. Quality system training will be provided.  Due to the small company structure, the position may require additional support as needed in other areas of day to day laboratory operation. Teamwork is crucial to our success.

The position requires a high school graduate or GED, basic math skills, and an ability to communicate with others are required. Basic knowledge of computer programs such as MS Word is desirable. Mycoscience retains the right to request random drug screening.

NOTE:  This position requires the employee to be on their feet the majority of the day. Some lifting (<25 lbs.) is also required.
