FPI Business Analyst’s responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following duties:
- Under direct supervision, assist in research and analysis of business and user needs, contributing to the development or revision of processes, documentation and training as required.
- Work with more senior Business Analysts and management to continually develop and maintain a basic understanding of business software and systems and Association requirements.
- Analyze business functions in order to develop new or modified processes.
- Key examples into lab environments for use during implementation training.
- Assist in project implementation with customers either in person or hosting online training.
- Assist with functional requirements, develops and executes test plans and works with production issues.
- Competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Assess and validate activities to determine if solutions have fulfilled project requirements.
- Complete tasks in scheduled time and keep others informed of your progress.
- Act as liaison/resource to FPI customer staff via email, phone, instant message and act with the appropriate sense of urgency to customer issues at first-tier level.
- Learn and understand the impact or interruption to customer’s work processes when issues are presented.
- Take initiative to avoid end-user production impacts resulting from issues “falling through the cracks”.
- Concisely share knowledge and information on FPI issues and resolutions through writing accurate documentation and knowledge gained through experience.
- Develop effective communication by creating concise, accessible documentation that clearly addresses specified issues.
Additionally, BA’s in the Credit Products group will also have the following duties:
- Maintain strong quality in systems changes by executing testing processes as they are assigned.
- Independently develop and execute test cases to test various functions of computer systems.
- Actively participate in the successful implementation of software rollouts.
- Accurately document and communicate defects with developers and other team members.
- Prepare clear, easy-to-follow, and customer-focused release documentation for use by internal and external users.
