XAL, Inc., a leader in the lighting manufacturing industry, is looking to hire in the Milling/ Picking department.

The responsibilities of the warehouse picker are as follows:

• The warehouse pickers handle the inventory control and supply chains as a warehouse helper, shipping and receiving clerk or traffic coordinator.
• They sort and organize merchandise so that it can be easily located.
• They must know the functions of each department, as they often work throughout the warehouse and perform work for other departments.
• They keep records of items received and damaged merchandise returned.
• They also label and stock inventory as it is received from vendors.
• They maintain quality control standards by checking items as they come in.

Skills:

• The warehouse pickers must be able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift.
• They are also required to be able to lift 50 lbs.
• They must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead.
• They must be able to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and providing merchandise quickly.
• Needs to have fluent English language verbal and non-verbal skills.
• Needs to have experience and a competent ability with general computer programs (Excel, Word, Inventory control programs).

Knowledge:

• The warehouse picker should at least be a high school graduate.
  Warehouse knowledge is a plus but not a necessity.

This is a FULL TIME position.  We work Monday through Friday, 7:00a.m. sharp until 3:30p.m., with a 12-12:30 lunch break.

This person must be able to work standing up for 8 hours in an ESD protected environment, follow instructions, and be good with their hands and tools necessary to build these fixtures. Our shop is very fast paced and we require someone who can work well in the fast-paced environment- time is of the essence!

XAL will run a background check on you and you will need to pass a drug test. We need good workers who will pass these requirements and take their job seriously. A 90 day review will be given, in which you will be given a pay increase based on performance, as well as medical, dental and vision insurance if you choose.
