System Support Operations/Analysts

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to IBM I series and Windows network systems, including hardware and software for all users. The position will also function as a troubleshooter for all hardware/software related issues on all existing platforms.

Responsibilities/Functions:

Troubleshoot all hardware/software issues concerning the IBM I series

Troubleshoot all hardware/software network issues including wireless/wired connectivity, printers, scanners and pcs.

Advanced support for multiple enterprise applications including Office 2010, Search Express, Sage, as well as specialized department specific applications.

Maintain daily performance of network connectivity, antivirsus software, patches and upgrades and other maintenance tools/utilities.

Provide training to all users including writing manuals

Response to issues from all users including but not limited to pc, scanners, printers and software. Including documentation of issues and resolution

 

Requirements:

Associates degree

2-5 years IBM I series operations/troubleshooting both hardware/software

2-5 years Network/pc operations/troubleshooting both hardware/software

High level of self-motivation, productivity and attention to detail, be well organized; have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrate experience of technical ability across a wide range of hardware and software.

Demonstrate knowledge of QA processes with a general understanding of software cycles.

Experience in health insurance administration a plus

Must live in commuting distance of New Haven CT
