About the company:  Alcoa Howmet Winsted Machining, 145 Price Road, Winsted, CT

Job Description:  Maintenance Mechanic (1^st shift):  Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager or Team Leader, this position will perform a variety of facility maintenance duties which include welding, fabrication, plumbing and basic carpentry tasks.  Performs other maintenance mechanical related functions that will maintain Alcoa Howmet’s production equipment and machinery.

Requirements:  Three to five years of related facilities maintenance and mechanical experience required. Must have strong welding and fabricating experience, knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanical devices, and their uses to produce motion, light, power, technology, and other applications. Ability to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of processes, and to repair machines or systems using the needed tools.
