Position Summary:

Sippin Commercial Properties is currently seeking a Real Estate Administrator to assist our property manager with the operation of several commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have adequate prior experience with commercial properties including lease and tenant administration, proficiency with property management software, tenant billings, collections, receipts, interfacing with tenants, property maintenance issues, and dealing with vendors, contractors and professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist property manager with day to day operation of several commercial properties in accordance with policies/procedures and lease requirements

Post tenant charges, collection of rents

Deposit checks, apply to accounts, maintain and reconcile various checking accounts

Calculate CAM charges, rents, utility pass through charges, set up new tenants, create spreadsheets and other reports as needed.

Reconcile CAM charges, 1099’s, and other year-end tasks

Work with outside CPA’s to compile financial and tax info.

Communicate with tenants for lease expirations, option, security deposits, maintenance and billing issues and emergencies.

Oversee accounts payable assistant

Maintain Yardi property management software system, file backups and train others as needed

Maintain all files, records, and documents pertaining to properties, tenants, vendors, and owners

Qualifications/Required Skills

High School diploma. College or university credits or degree in applicable discipline preferred. Prior experience working in commercial real estate administration preferred. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic document handling.  Requires working knowledge of accounts payable, receivables and commercial leases.  Understanding/education in general accounting and financing is a plus. Proficiency with YARDI property management system is an important advantage.
