PUBLIC WORKS LABORER - SANITATION DIVISION
The Town of Charlestown is presently accepting applications for the full-time position of laborer in the Sanitation Division. Applicants shall be at least 18 years of age, hold a current valid RI Drivers License and shall pass a background check. The selected individual must courteously perform numerous diverse tasks, work hard and be a responsible team player in the efficient and orderly operation of the excellent Charlestown Residential Collection Center. The candidate shall be prepared to adapt skills and experience to varied tasks and to work flexible hours in adverse conditions. The current wage for this position is $16.59 per hour. The full Town benefit package is in effect subject to the schedule and conditions set by the Employee Handbook, Collective Bargaining Agreement, Town Charter and Ordinance. Applications can be obtained at the Town Clerk's Office, 4540 South County Trail, Charlestown, and must be submitted no later than July 24, 2014. Charlestown is an EOE.
