Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift

 

Description:  

The Quality Control (QC)  inspector is responsible for performing in-process inspections to ensure a high quality finished product is manufactured in compliance with batch records, Standard Operating Procedures and cGMPs requirements.  Line clearance inspections must be performed  for production rooms to verify proper cleaning of equipment and to prevent any cross contamination of products or materials. The QC inspector will also be  responsible for  the batch record documentation and material accountability during batch production and for performing the incoming Quality inspection for materials according to specifications and SOPs. The QC inspector  will be responsible for reviewing and revising SOPs specific to inspector responsibilities and recommend improvements on existing processes, SOP’s or procedures.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures batch records are completely correctly.
  • Performs the incoming Quality inspection for materials according to specifications and SOPs.
  • Performs line clearances and swabs equipment for equipment cleaning testing.
  • Reviews and revises SOPs specific to inspector responsibilities and recommends improvements on existing processes, SOP’s or procedures
  • Maintains appropriate documentation according to cGMPS and internal SOPs.
  • Complies with all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies and procedures.
  • Complies with good housekeeping and safety practices.

 

Requirements:

  •  Qualified candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum  1 year experience in pharmaceutical operations including knowledge of drug manufacturing, packaging, quality assurance in process inspections and quality assurance incoming inspections.
  • Must be available to work 2nd shift and weekends as necessary.
  • Strong initiative and self-direction.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
