Dymax Corporation,a leader in the Acrylic Adhesive and UV Curing Industry, is seeking a highly motivated, team orientated individual to join our Equipment Engineering department as an Electrical Engineer.

 

The Electrical Engineer will lead electrical and electronic product development projects, generate technical and engineering documentation, plan and conduct experiments and testing, design and develop new products to meet regulatory compliance directives within budget and on time

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

-       Takes part in new product development project feasibility analysis

-       Designs and develops new equipment that complies with applicable regulatory standards. 

-       Prepares or directs prototype development and prototype evaluation

-       Direct preparation of product or system electronics drawings and schematics

-       Manages suppliers or outside resources that aid in development

-       Create and works toward product development timelines and participates in design and stage gate reviews

-       Create test plans and analyzes test data to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications

-       Participates in planning and preparation of technical and engineering documentation for the newly developed products

-       Assists with manufacturing, troubleshooting and production of quality products

-       Prepares procedures and instrumentation needed for assembly and testing of DYMAX products

-       Oversees technicians and CAD drafters

-       Assignments are completed in a timely fashion (by dates established)

-       Works within the boundaries of ISO procedures

-       Demonstrates professional work ethics

 EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• BS EE degree or equivalent
• Background in physics, heat transfer and optics
• Experience in designing to meet regulatory testing requirements (EMC, Safety, UL, IEC etc)
• Competence in UV and visible optical systems, optics, including UV optics, electro-optics; discharge lams; illumination systems
• More than five years of electronic design, new product development, experience with microprocessor controllers, digital and analog circuitry design
• Project management experience
• Proficiency in schematic capture software, preferably ORCAD or equivalent electronic software package.
• Strong analytical skills
