| Looking for a Candidate with OFFICE FURNITURE EXPERIENCE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER In this role, your position in the company will be to increase sales and market share, and to also be one of advisor and mentor to current inside sales team, working with them on newly acquired business. GOALS FOR THIS POSITION will be to: * Gain Market Share through prospecting and developing new business with our current and past customers, with Healthcare and Education Industries, A&D Firms, and commercial business within the State of Connecticut and surrounding areas. * Coordinating Sales Efforts with inside sales team via team-calling, teaming up on projects you develop and leading and directing the work of others in that capacity. * Coordinating Marketing Efforts through community involvement, trade association involvement, trade show coordination, working with President on website and marketing material updates and advertising efforts. LONG TERM goals include strengthening our brand image, building long-term relationships with customers and vendors, improving our distribution network/new lines, and assisting owner to recruit, hire and train salespeople as the need arises. RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for developing sales, participating in marketing efforts and working together with sales staff to achieve an increase in sales. Establish sales strategy for individual markets and for individual accounts and bids. Provide interface with key customers and manufacturers in the marketplace. * Cultivate new business and referrals through prospecting and calling on businesses. Set appointments for introduction to our company. Re-introductions to past customer base customers who haven t purchased in the past year or two. * Market products/solutions to Architects and Designers, Commercial Real Estate professionals, Healthcare and Educational organizations, GSA and commercial business. * To be involved in and/or attend networking events. * To become a member of a lead group and attend regular meetings. * Understand and apply our marketing objectives into selling activities, including profit-enhancing tools. * Coordinate and facilitate customer presentations. * Act as advisor to others on our sales team in regards to projects, specifications, and closing sales. * Accompany salespeople on sales calls and monitor their activity as needed to provide support and feedback on sales efforts. * Keep informed of new developments in the industry through local news, trade press and trade associations. * Coordinate and attend trade shows maintain sales presence and booth attendance. * This is a salary plus position.
